Models and Forecasting

The Dixie MPO works with agency partners and consultants to develop transportation modeling tools that inform and support decision-makers, MPO staff, and the public. The tools used are Dixie Travel Demand Model and long-range growth projections, provided by the Governor’s Office of Economic Development and based on the work of the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute at the University of Utah. This is used to create detailed forecasts that help enable detailed analysis and illustrates the performance of our transportation system and analyses possible future scenarios in our region
