CCQS quality level badges: Foundation of Quality, Emerging Quality, Growing Quality and High Quality

QUALITY MATTERS

Utah’s Child Care Quality System (CCQS)

Quality systems for child care help parents understand the level of quality in child care, preschool, and school-age programs. Ratings help parents compare different programs by using the same set of standards.

The CCQS program in Utah helps child care programs improve quality in many areas, such as safety, interactions, materials, and spaces.

Programs earn one of four quality levels: Foundation of Quality, Emerging Quality, Growing Quality and High Quality.

Why families should care

90% of your child’s brain has developed by the age of 5. Having a great start helps children prepare for kindergarten and lifelong success.

Why programs should participate

Participation in CCQS will help build trust with families, retain employees, and support better developmental outcomes for children.

Why Utahns should care

Quality systems protect children’s health, strengthen the economy, and build a safer, more educated community for everyone.
